The Democratic Primary Election is March 15, 2016 and voters from our party will be making critical decisions - nominating candidates for every level of government, from the White House to the Courthouse. I am honored to be the officially endorsed candidate of the Democratic Party and I am working hard to talk to voters in the community about my background and approach to justice.
I have served the public as an Assistant State’s Attorney for over 28 years. I began in the narcotics division, served in the appellate division and became a recognized expert in criminal law and procedure. I have reviewed, analyzed, and critiqued thousands of issues in the Illinois Appellate Court and the Illinois Supreme Court. This work has placed me in a unique position to understand the legal system as a whole and important issues within the law.
I have given back to the community by mentoring new attorneys beginning their careers serving the public in the State’s Attorney’s Office. I am also a founding member of the Advisory Committee of Catholic Charities Legal Assistance (CCLA) which provides legal services and advice to low-income individuals. I am honored to be highly regarded by my peers for integrity and commitment to high ethical standards..
Early voting in this critical Primary runs from February 29th to March 14th
and Election Day is Tuesday, March 15th. I would be truly honored to have your vote.
